Earn Cub Scout Academic and Sport Achievement Belt Loops and Pins

The Boy Scout have an opportunity to earn extra belt loops and pins through The Cub Scout Academics and Sports Program. Although not required for the normal requirement for rank, we encourage all Boy Scouts to look into this optional program. The US Scouting Service Project has all the information about the belt loop and pins and the requirements for each. Some of the boys may already have the requirements needed to earn some of these through activities they have done at home and/or school. So it's worth taking a look.  

Once you have all the requirements for the belt loops or pins, write them down and give them to Karen. In order to keep track of your son's progress, you can also fill out one of the following charts...

Tiger Scout Achievements

Adult partners (Akela) please sign your Scouts book. The following achievements, etc have been completed thus far. Make sure to congratulate your Cub Scout for their hard work. Once the achievements have completed by the den the paw print on the right will be filled in orange.

Tiger Track Trail

Once the boys have earned their Tiger Cub Badge they can start earning Tiger Track Beads. These are the elective found in third part of the book. Once one is completed the Akela (parent) can fill out the chart at the end of the book.

Wolf Scout Achievements

Adult partners (Akela) please sign your Scouts book. The following achievements, etc have been completed thus far. Please congratulate your Scout for their hard work. The following chart is to keep track of the achievements they have completed during the den meeting and which need to be completed at home.

For more information please refer to the book. Similar to last year, many achievements (12) can be accomplished at home and are signed of by Akela (parent). We'll work on some of the requirements during the Den Meetings and outings, however, it's the Scout's responsibility to keep up with the book/requirements. At the end of your Cub Scout book there are a series of electives which scouts can earn points towards gold and silver arrow head badges. You can keep track of them using the chart at the end of your book or you can use the following chart...
